Open Gym this week
Sunday – no open gym
Last Days for Prep Teams
Prep teams will finish their season on March 17 for Sunday teams and March 21 for Thursday teams.
Tumbling Classes Ending
There are no tumbling classes after March 21. Our next session of tumbling classes will run June through August and registration for that will open in late April.
Last Classes for Rec
Wednesday rec cheer ends March 20 and Friday rec cheer ends March 15. Please remember that there will be a performance at the end of each class.
The gym will be closed for practices March 22-31 with the exception of practices on March 29 for Freeze and Blizzard and March 30 for Frost as these teams are travelling to Vancouver the following weekend.
Spring Break Tumbling Clinics
We will be running Level 1-4 tumbling clinics March 25-29. Registration is now open.
Worlds and Summit T-Shirts
We are now accepting orders for our Worlds and Summit fundraiser t-shirts. Shirts are $25 and $10 will go directly to the athlete of your choice. You can order directly from the athletes or at the Storm Seller. Thanks in advance for your support. Orders are due March 15.
Our final event of the year will take place at the WinSport Arena in Calgary on April 14. This is a one day event that will take place in the afternoon to allow families to drive to and from Calgary the same day, if they choose. There will be no practices on Friday, April 12 (except Freeze & Blizzard), Saturday, April 13 (except Frost & Intensity) and Sunday, April 14.
Final All-Star Practices
All-star teams will have their final “practice” the week after 4Cast (April 15-18). Many teams are already planning year end parties/activities for their last day together.
You can now register for team selections for next season for both prep and all-star. Please note that the ages are as of August 31, 2019. Athletes should be attending the team selections for the team that fits their age group. If we require athletes to move up an age group, we will contact them. Generally, we only need flyers to move up. In addition, we are looking for athletes who are well rounded and have multiple skills at the level they are trying out for. Please do not expect to be the exception. Coaches will be recommending where athletes should go next season. If you have any questions about what is best for your athlete, your coach is your best resource. Our 2019-20 Program Handbook should be released by the end of March.
The next fundraiser being run by the parents’ association is VIP Meats. Launch date is March 18th with paper forms available at the gym. Orders will be collected April 1-4 between 6-8pm. Delivery date of April 10th with pick up between 6-8pm at the back of the gym.
